Top windsurf spots on the island for all levels

Flag Beach

Flag Beach windsurf spot is located in the north-east of the island and is one of the most popular spots for windsurfing. Conditions at Flag Beach vary from wave days to flat days depending on the time of the year. April to September, the wind is side shore from left, turning to onshore during the winter months. There are some rocks to be aware of at Flag Beach. If the spot is new to you, or you have some doubts, we are here to help and will be more than happy to offer our expert spot knowledge allowing you to make the most of your session at Flag Beach.

El Cotillo Lagoon

El Cotillo Lagoons are the best spot in the north of Fuerteventura to rent your equipment and practice windsurfing as a beginner. This spot is best mid-high tide and has shallow water and sheltered conditions making it a great place to grab a board and sail and give it a go.

*If you are a complete beginner we recommend taking some beginner courses with us at this spot before practicing alone.

Risco del Paso

Risco del Paso in located in the south of the island in Sotavento. The wind direction in Risco is offshore and side offshore and is mainly a flat water spot that occasionally gets nice small waves breaking on an outer sandbank. During the full and new moon phases you will also find a nice shallow flat water lagoon where you will find some nice freestyle and freeride conditions. As the wind is offshore here, being able to ride upwind is a must in the open sea.
